Internal SMS Notifications – Terms & Privacy

1. Program Description
   Medical Billing Technologies, Inc. (“MBT”) uses SMS text messaging to send important internal notifications to employees and authorized contractors. Messages may include system alerts, schedule changes, security notices, or other operational updates.
2. Opt-In
   Opt-in is required before any SMS notifications will be sent. MBT collects consent through a private, internal webform accessible only to employees and authorized contractors. By completing this form and providing your mobile number, you consent to receive SMS notifications for work-related purposes. Message frequency varies based on operational needs. Standard message and data rates may apply.
   
   ​Opt-in confirmation message:
   "You are now subscribed to MBT internal SMS notifications. Msgs may include system alerts, schedule changes & security notices. Msg/data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help."
3. Opt-Out
   You can opt out of receiving SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any MBT message. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message, and no further SMS notifications will be sent to your number. To resume receiving messages, contact your manager or the IT department.
   
   Opt-out confirmation message:
   "You have opted out of MBT internal SMS notifications. You will no longer receive messages. Reply START to re-subscribe or contact IT for assistance."
4. Help
   For help regarding MBT SMS notifications, reply HELP to any MBT message or contact [email protected].
   
   Help confirmation message:
   "MBT Internal SMS Notifications: We send work-related alerts to employees/contractors. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Contact IT at [email protected] for help."
   
5. Privacy
   We collect and store your mobile number solely for the purpose of sending SMS notifications. We do not sell, rent, or share your number with unaffiliated third parties. Messages are sent via Twilio, our SMS service provider, which processes your phone number and message content solely to deliver messages on our behalf.
6. Data Protection
   We follow HIPAA, FERPA, and applicable privacy laws in handling any data contained in our SMS notifications. MBT limits the content of messages to operational information and avoids including sensitive personal information whenever possible.
7. Changes to Terms
   MBT may update these terms from time to time. Any updates will be posted here.
